Scouting Shabbat

At the family service on April 3, Congregation Shalom will hold a Scouting Shabbat at which Rabbi Perry will recognize members who are also active in Scouting. Scouts and their families are invited to attend the service and, if they like, to participate by leading a prayer or reading. We would also like to hand out patches to all the scouts in attendance but need to order those in advance. Therefore, if your scout(s) think they would like to participate, please send an email by March 13 to and indicate 1) whether your scout would prefer a Scout Shabbat patch issued by ScoutsBSA or Girl Scouts of America and 2) whether your scout would like to lead a reading or not. If your scout has earned a significant award or a religious award during this school year which you would like mentioned at the service, please include that in your email as well. Scouts who reply late might not receive their patches on April 3.
