We had a great Kick off Brunch, with over 40 Sisterhood members attending. We started the meeting with Hatikvah sung by Rabbi Shoshana Perry, Yaffa Wilner (born in Israel) and Ethel Kamien. (Lucky for you I didn’t sing with them; I love to sing, but you might not like to hear me.) We also welcomed a few new members who really enjoyed themselves.
This month already had 2 well-attended events besides the Kick off. We had Pottery Painting at Time to Clay and a combined Temple book club and Sisterhood Book Club. Next month we are going on a Sisterhood Walk to the Fruitlands Museum and then lunch, on Sunday Nov 5. It will be my first Sisterhood walk and I am so looking forward to it. I just started walking so I will be in shape (hopefully) for the walk.
On Nov 14th we will have a Sisterhood Ladies night out. (Notice events always involves food or drinks or both.) This will be followed by our Chanukah Fair on Wednesday, Nov. 15th and Sunday, Nov. 19th .
We have many programs coming up, so watch for evites. If anyone has an idea for a program, and are willing to run it, please email me at Sisterhood@congregationshalom.org
